National Young Leaders Day 2014
On the 26th of May, the Year 6 children and two Year 5 School Councillors attended the National Young Leaders Day at the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington.
All of the speakers were very inspiring and we all learnt a lot about what it takes to make a great leader.
Thank-you very much to the parents that helped with transport to and from the school and Petone train station.

This term the class have had a weekly moveMprove session. MoveMprove is a gymnastics programme that aims to build the important foundations for all sport, recreation and performing arts, increase the children's confidence and independence, encourage collaboration within peer groups, have a positive impact on children's behaviour performance in school and children have fun while moving for the whole session.
Here are a few snaps that were taken during todays session. You can see the variety of activities that the children participate in.

Hockey on Wheels
On Wednesday of Week 1, we were lucky enough to get an introduction to Hockey on Wheels. Many of the children were interested in playing so I have put the flyer below.
